We believe and teach that there are three distinct persons in the Godhead. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe and teach that every word in the Bible is inspired of God. The word "inspired" means, "God-breathed out." According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
We believe and teach that the church is the body of Christ. Paul wrote, "And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Ephesians 1:22).
We believe and teach that salvation is given to us by God through our:
Belief in the gospel (Mark 16:16).
Repentance or separation from the world (Acts 2:38).
Confession that Jesus is the Son of God (Romans 10:10).
Baptism into Christ (1 Peter 3:21; Galatians 3:27).
Remain Faithful (Revelation 2:10).
We believe and teach that our worship must include these acts from our heart directed to God as directed by God:
Prayer (Philippians 4:6)
Singing without instruments (Ephesians 5:19)
Lord's Supper on the first day of every week (Acts 20:7)
Preaching/Teaching (2 Timothy 4:2)
Giving from what God has prospered us (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)
We believe and teach that the church is to be led by male elders (who are also called bishops, pastors, shepherds). Deacons are male servants set up to carry out a specific work of the church. The qualifications for these offices are found in 2 Timothy 3. The minister or preacher is not the head of the church, but a servant in submission to the eldership.
